    Packaging:

Our Bairdi snow crab clusters average about 2/3 to 1 pound each. Our snow crab clusters are pre-cooked, flash-frozen, and packaged in clear plastic bags for easy freezer storage.

    Storing & Thawing:

Frozen snow crab can be kept in a freezer for several months due to it's protective water glaze. To thaw snow crab, place it in the refrigerator a day prior to cooking it. Left-over snow crab should be kept under refrigeration and consumed within a couple of days.

    Serving Suggestions:

Three pounds of snow crab will serve 2 to 3 people easily if you're serving with additional entrees. If you're having a crab feast or are serving a group of crab lovers, 1 & 1/2 pounds per person would be a good start.

    Health Benefits:

Alaska's annual fishing quota for snow crab is usually much larger than that of other species - making snow crab one of the most abundant types of Alaska crab available. Alaska snow crab is sustainably-caught, and fishing is regulated by the Alaska Department of Fish & Game. By law, only male crabs are retained, leaving the lucky females to remain in the Bering Sea and provide more tasty crab for all of us! Alaska's main commercial fishery for Snow crab starts in January and generally last for several months. It is considered one of the harshest crab fisheries due to the winter months that it takes place in.
